'Filmed throughout Spain and Argentina, this documentary captures the rich sensuality of Manuel de Falla’s music, in counter-point to the near monastic austerity of his life. Including excerpts from performances by Charles Dutoit and the Montréal Symphony Orchestra, Teresa Berganza, Alicia de Larrocha, Narciso Yepes, Nicanor Zabaleta, and gypsy flamenco singers and dancers'. Also includes a complete performance of Falla's 'Nights in the Gardens of Spain', accompanied by night-time footage of the Alhambra, the Moorish palace and gardens atop the hills of Granada. Performed by pianist Alicia de Larrocha with the Montréal Symphony Orchestra conducted by Charles Dutoit. Both films created by Larry Weinstein. (Total running time approx. 107')

Tributes-Pulse is an art movie created by the American filmmaker Bill Morrison [b.1965] and the Danish composer and percussionist Simon Christensen [b.1971]. Christensen originally conceived the project as a tribute to four American composers, Charles Ives, Conlon Nancarrow, Steve Reich and Trent Reznor. The idea of "Pulse" is explored in both the music and the film. Using exquisitely deteriorating nitrate-based archival film, Morrison weaves a story from the remnants of disparate narratives. The four sections correspond visually to the four elements as a frontier for Man - Water, Earth, Fire and Air (Music performed by the Kundi Bobmbo Ensemble. Running time approx. 65'.
